Rotella is a municipality located in the province of Ascoli Piceno at 395 meters (1296 feet) of altitude. Rotella has 936 inhabitants and a surface area of 27.44 square kilometers (10.59 square miles).
The municipality of Rotella also includes the following suburbs: Capradosso, Castel di Croce, Poggio Canoso.
Rotella was part of the Papal States before the unification of Italy (1861).
