  1. I was searching for pictures of my hometown, Roccamorice, to show my Son; and I came across this website and was surprised to see that one of the main names there is my surname Palumbo. I’m surprised because to my understanding there aren’t too many left living there. Most of our family has moved to Canada or the United States. My particular family moved in 1973 to Michigan USA. my fathers name is Giuseppe Palumbo. His family, my grandparents lived in San Giorgio. Infact we, myself included, lived there till I was 2, then we moved to 101 Corso Umberto primo, and then to Michigan.

  2. I was born 1952 in Roccamorice. My father immigrated to Canada in 1951, joined by mother and myself in 1953.
We resided in Amherstburg and then moved to Toronto. Our family surname is D’Alimonte. Amherstburg, Ontario is home to a large Roccolani population. Many members of the top 5 Roccamorice families took
residency in the small agricultural town, raised their families and remain there. The atmosphere of Amherstburg is very similar to LaRocca. There is no doubt of their origins. Roots run wide.
