Vacri is a municipality located in the province of Chieti at 310 meters (1017 feet) of altitude. Vacri has 1702 inhabitants and a surface area of 12.27 square kilometers (4.74 square miles).
The municipality of Vacri also includes the following suburbs: Fontanelle, Maiure, Porcareccia, Sant'Agata, San Vincenzo, Selve.
Vacri was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861) and belonged to the former Abruzzo Citra province.
