Pozzilli is a municipality located in the province of Isernia at 235 meters (771 feet) of altitude. Pozzilli has 2275 inhabitants and a surface area of 34.66 square kilometers (13.38 square miles).

The municipality of Pozzilli also includes the following suburbs: Camerelle, Collegrotte, Leone, Santa Maria Oliveto, Triverno.

Pozzilli was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861).

    1. Yes, Venafro was part of the Abruzzi region until 1963. That year, the province of Isernia was created and became part of the newly established region of Molise. So historically, Venafro was in Abruzzo, but administratively it has been in Molise since 1963.
