Orsogna is a municipality located in the province of Chieti at 430 meters (1411 feet) of altitude. Orsogna has 4008 inhabitants and a surface area of 25.45 square kilometers (9.83 square miles).
The municipality of Orsogna also includes the following suburbs: Feuduccio, Ritiro, San Basile, Sterparo, Valli-Coste di Moro.
Orsogna was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861) and belonged to the former Abruzzo Citra province.
