I am trying to find information on my grandfather John DeNoble born in 1897 I believe. He told me as well as an Ermando DeVitis who my grandfather helped get to the U.S. that he immigrated from Lettopalena. However when I searched the records of which I at one time had a link, there was no John DeNoble who came from Lettopalena at that time. There has always been something about the name Martinelli that I feel may have been his name but never wanted to be spoken about and was told not to bring that name up. Is there a place that I may be able to go to get some info on this? Thanks for your time and help.
Hi John – I am a Martinelli whose family was from Lettopalena. I have discovered a lot from using Ancestry.com and by actually going to Lettopalena to find family (it was a success). I have some good information on my grandfather’s side, but not my grandmother’s and she was apparently a DiNobile (I’ve noticed the spelling can be Di or De).
Hello Rosie- this is a longshot, but you mentioned that you are a Martinelli. Are you by chance related to a Pietro Paolo Martinelli? He was from Lettopalena and the father of my great grandma, Virginia Martinelli, who immigrated to America. Thanks in advance.
Yes, I am looking for information on the TIBERIO family of Lettopalena. My great grandfather was born there in the 1880s before migrating to the United States. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.
