My last name is Tomasetti. My father had one S dropped from the name, my grandfather came from Celano around 1917 and name was Benedetto Tomassetti
My maiden name is “Paris”. My father came to New York in the 1950’s. He never changed the spelling of the name Paris. Many people believe that an “i” was dropped because “all Italian surnames end in a vowel”. I don’t know many that don’t, but I’m curious about the history of the Paris surname. Did it come from an invasion of France many years ago? Wasn’t there a Prince Paris. I don’t know a lot and am curious to know.
I’m trying to find twins Antonio Iacchetta and Silvio Iacchetta. My grandfather left to America before they were born. I want to find them
