Altino is a municipality located in the province of Chieti at 345 meters (1132 feet) of altitude. Altino has 2833 inhabitants and a surface area of 15.33 square kilometers (5.92 square miles).
The municipality of Altino also includes the following suburbs: Briccioli, Colli, Fonte, Luzio, Mandrella, Rio Secco, Sant'Angelo, Scosse, Selva.
Altino was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861) and belonged to the former Abruzzo Citra province.
