Matrice is a municipality located in the province of Campobasso at 690 meters (2264 feet) of altitude. Matrice has 1110 inhabitants and a surface area of 20.42 square kilometers (7.88 square miles).
Matrice was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861) and belonged to the former Molise province.

My grandparents were born in Matrice, Campobasso and I am looking for information about their family. Their names were Domenico Minnillo and Maria Giovanna Ratino. Their first son Christy was born there in 1909 before they immigrated to the U.S. I have no information about their parents other than their names and would appreciate help in researching this family.
