Pollutri is a municipality located in the province of Chieti at 180 meters (591 feet) of altitude. Pollutri has 2306 inhabitants and a surface area of 26.17 square kilometers (10.1 square miles).

The municipality of Pollutri also includes the following suburbs: Civita, Crivella, Martina, Piano Croce, Piano Palme, Piano Valle, San Barbato.

Pollutri was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861) and belonged to the former Abruzzo Citra province.
