The municipality of Poggio Sannita also includes the following suburbs: Carapellese, Castel di Croce, Quarto I, Quarto II, Rimanci, San Cataldo, Scalzavacca, Sente, Valle del Porco.
Poggio Sannita was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861).

My wife’s grandfather was Antonio D’Aguillo born in Poggio Sannita (formerly Caccavone).
