The municipality of Capitignano also includes the following suburbs: Aglioni, Collenoveri, Mopolino, Pago, Paterno, Sivignano.

Capitignano was part of the Kingdom of Naples before the unification of Italy (1861).

  1. My great grandparents were Pasquale Alimonti and Domenica Fulvimari. They are from the L’Aquila and Capitignano areas. Wanting to visit there next year and trying to make some contacts now. Also want to know if there are places to look up old records…. d
