I am the daughter of Anthony DeMatteis and my my mother, whose maiden name was Carmela Pezzuti. My sister is
Jeannine DeMatteis Makely and my brother is Robert DeMatteis. I would like to know a bit more about my ancestry.
My maternal grandfather was Paul Pezzuti and my fraternal grandfather was Joseph (Guiseppe) DeMatteis.
My maternal grandmother’s name was Norina Ciconne and my fraternal grandmother’s name was Anna Damiani.
I know that I have some distant aunts with the name Nardis.
What would you suggest I do to contact any of my relatives in Sant’Angelo?
Maybe you could try to find people with the same last name on Facebook. Villa Sant’Angelo has less than 500 residents I belive. Most are De Matteis, De Michele, Pezzuti, Nardis, Corona, Rubeis, Tomei, and a few others. all those names are in my family tree. That’s how I found some family members there is through Facebook. I have Pezzuti great grandparents on both my grandmother’s and my grandfather’s side of the family.

I think you and your father may be able to help me. My father was Giuseppe D’Ascenzo. His parents were Rocco and Cristina Vespasiani. Rocco’s first wife was Giuseppina Corona. Dad’s sisters were Modesta who married a Nardis and Caterina who married a DeMichele. I believe one of Dad’s cousins married a Tomei, but I do not know the first names. I would appreciate any information your father might be able to give me regarding my father’s grandparents or other relatives. Hi Christina my Grandfather Etore Mario Tomei had a half brother named Dominco Tomei who was married to Sistina DAsenzo from Tusillo Italy which
was adjacent to Villa st angelo. Both Dominico and Sistina has passed in the last 10 years. We all lived Canton Michigan and we were very close.
